How do I care for my items?

All fabrics are pre-washed prior to sewing using scent-free detergent and dried on medium heat before being sewn. This helps prevent any shrinkage and remove residues from the fabric production. 

For ensure your items last as long as possible, it is recommended that you wash your Boozoo Baby garments inside out with like colours on gentle cycle and lay them flat or hang to dry. 

Is local pickup available?

Absolutely! Local pickup is offered free of charge from The Maker's Hub in Whitby, Modern Makers Market in Peterborough and We Made It in Cobourg. You can select local pickup in the shipping options at checkout and you will receive a separate email advising you when your items are ready to be picked up. 

What shipping methods are available?

All orders will be shipped via Canada Post or UPS (whichever is most efficient). A flat rate shipping fee of $15 in Ontario and $20 for the rest of Canada is available and includes tracked shipping with $100 insurance coverage on your purchase. Free shipping is offered for orders over $200 before applicable taxes. 

What is your current turnaround time?

We strive to have all in stock (ready to ship) items sent out within 2-3 business days. Custom orders will be shipped within 2-3 weeks. Should these dates change due to higher order volume, timelines will be updated here. As all items are shipped via Canada Post, delivery time may vary based on their service levels.

What is a preorder and why do I do them?

I offer pre orders so all of my customers have a chance to order exactly what they want in the fabric of their choice. I do not order copious amounts of one print into my shop as I like to be able to offer a wide variety of prints. This can result in more people than fabric so this gives you the opportunity to get exactly what you want!

How long does a pre order take? 

Because I am offering you a pre order that means I am ordering exactly what I need for all of my preorders plus some extra for retail. This means the fabric is then submitted for printing and manufacturing just for you! This process takes anywhere from 8-15 weeks from print to arriving to my shop. Please note that there can be delays, etc. and this timeline is always just an estimate. Fabric may arrive sooner than expected or could arrive later but 10-12 weeks is definitely the ‘normal’ timeframe. Please order sizes according to this timeline! 

How long after you’ve received the fabric until my order arrives?

The size of the pre order depicts the timeline it takes for me to get through all pre orders and have them out to you. Standard wait time is about 2-3 weeks for me to process each pre order, but can be shorter or longer depending on the number of items pre ordered.  If timelines will be longer than expected you will be advised

I realize that it is a long time to wait for an item, but it is definitely a great way to secure fabric for what you want - especially the fabric that sells super quickly! If this isn’t for you I do offer a wide variety of In Stock prints which can be used in a custom order at any time! Please do not order if you aren’t comfortable with the pre order timeline and guidelines. 

What does it cost to preorder?

As preorders are ordered directly through the website, they must be paid in full. We do however offer the option of paying 50% as a deposit upfront, with the balance due once the fabric is received in the shop. If you wish to proceed with the 50% model, complete your purchase using code DEPOSIT when you check out, and make sure to select the correct shipping amount. Once the fabric is received, you will be invoiced the balance of your purchase. Payment for the balance will be due within 48 hours and your order will not be started until payment has been received. Because we have to pay upfront to bring in the fabric, deposits will not be refunded if you cancel the order.

Do you accept returns or cancellations?

We do not generally accept returns or cancellations on items. If you have questions or concerns about a specific order, or if there are any problems, please contact us here and we will try to assist you.

For adult garments, sizing guides are provided and we do recommend checking your measurements prior to ordering. If you have any questions about sizing please contact us before you order and we will be happy to help.

How do I determine which size I need?

All adult pieces are made true to size and measurement charts are included with item descriptions. if you have questions about sizing please contact us here.

All of our adult items can be made in smaller or larger sizes at no additional cost, pending fabric availability, please contact us here to request. Many kids items are also available in other sizes; however our prints are limited in quantity so once an item is sold out we may not be able to make others with the same print.
